Sharing by Co-owning Might Be a Dead-end


In Sweden, 25% of consumers claim to co-own a product with other people. The majority of these are referring to a holiday home, a car or a power tool of some sort. The numbers are a even lower in Finland and Denmark. 

When asked about the willingness to co-own things in the future, people are generally positive to the overall idea. However, this differs a lot depending on the product. There is a difference between sharing a bike and sharing bed sheets. Basically, hygien and a lack of privacy seem create limits to the opportunities of sharing things with others. After all, we are all human beings
